Description:

This unit focuses on building students’ confidence to speak fluently and persuasively before an audience. It also aims at establishing the importance of presentation skills in a clinical context.

Objectives:

   At the completion of this unit, students will be able to:

1. Discern elements of a good presentation
2. Select topics of common interest and share useful information
3. Learn how to prepare and organize a good presentation using a variety of strategies/modes to convey ideas 
4. Handle questions directed from the audience
5. Engage in thought-provoking discussions
6. Wrap up convincingly, restating the key points.
